{"id":242,"date":"2011-05-10T21:01:25","date_gmt":"2011-05-10T21:01:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/?page_id=242"},"modified":"2020-03-17T15:19:20","modified_gmt":"2020-03-17T15:19:20","slug":"leisure-club","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/?page_id=242","title":{"rendered":"Leisure Club"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Due to COVID-10 Leisure Club gatherings have been cancelled until further notice<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the Spring of 1991, following daily Mass, a small group of parishioners gathered to discuss the possibility of forming a Seniors Club in the parish.\u00a0 With strong dedication and persistence, a meeting was held on May 2, 1991 and there began the formation of the Club to be known as \u201cSt. Anthony\u2019s Leisure Club\u201d\u00a0 The affairs of the Club were to be administered by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and Six Members at Large.\u00a0 With the assistance from the Parish, CWL, and a grant from the New Horizons Program on March 31, 1992, a number of purchases were made, namely, carpet bowling equipment, board games, crafts and kitchen utensils.\u00a0 A program of crafts was initiated and through the dedication and hard work of the members, the Club grew and prospered.\u00a0 During the past 14 \u00bd years, many group trips have been made.\u00a0 Other activities include luncheons and dinner outings for all occasions.\u00a0 Anyone 55 and older may join the Leisure Club.\u00a0 They meet every Wednesday afternoon at 1:00pm in the Church Hall for fellowship, games, conversation and coffee.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Due to COVID-10 Leisure Club gatherings have been cancelled until further notice In the Spring of 1991, following daily Mass, a small group of parishioners gathered to discuss the possibility [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":0,"menu_order":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","template":"","meta":{"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-242","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/242","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/types\/page"}],"author":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/users\/1"}],"replies":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fcomments&post=242"}],"version-history":[{"count":4,"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/242\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":979,"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/pages\/242\/revisions\/979"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/saintanthony.ca\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fmedia&parent=242"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
